Our troops deserve more thanks and more sympathy

Did you know that George Washington actually instituted the first Thanksgiving Holiday in 1789 in honor of the new Constitution? This holiday, let us give thanks to our nation's greatest soldier and all who have followed in his footsteps. Those who have endured years of misery in far away lands, seen and experienced the worst acts that humanity is capable of, and risked and sacrificed all in the name of freedom deserve our thanks everyday -- not just Veteran's Day.
But too often under the BO administration, the rights and well-being of our men and women in uniform rate lower than terrorists. In what seems to be another unbelievable act of stupidity, Navy SEALs are being charged with assault after capturing a barbaric terrorist. Do you recall the 4 US contractors that were ambushed, burned, mutilated, and hung from a bridge in Iraq in 2004? The scumbag behind that incident is the guy they captured. This "person" deserves a fate worse than his victims, but instead the SEALs spared him and took him alive to be prosecuted. So what was their "crime"? Apparently somebody punched said scumbag terrorist in the mouth, and now they face a cour martial. This is beyond sad. It is dangerously absurd. Not only are we emboldening terrorists by treating them softly at the demand of BO and his leftist DOJ cronies, but we are also killing the morale of our bravest, most well trained and well motivated soldiers -- those who have the best chance of winning this war.
So, to BO: If you want to stop your approval ratings from their death spiral, why not take the time to step into this matter personally and deliver immediate executive clemency to these SEALs. If you don't, be assured the many Americans watching will not forget.
To those in the service all over the world.: Our deepest thanks, our sincere apologies for putting such an idiot in office, and our heart-felt prayers for your safe return. And oh yes - our advice in avoiding prosecution for doing your job: put a bullet between their eyes before they call their lawyer.
